Belfast, Power of Dog Lead Golden Globes 2022 Nominations; Complete List of Nominations

Netflix's 'Power of the Dog' and Focus Features' 'Belfast' led the nominations for the Golden Globes by landing in seven categories each. Mired by controversies, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 79th edition of the annual Golden Globe Awards on Monday.

Meanwhile HBO's 'Succession', a dynastic drama about a cutthroat media mogul and his family, scored the highest with five nominations in television shows category.

Winners To Be Announced on Jan.9

'Belfast' and 'Power of the Dog' were followed by global-warming satire Don't Look Up; 'King Richard', about the father of tennis champions Venus and Serena Williams; director Steven Spielberg's 'West Side Story' and coming-of-age tale 'Licorice Pizza', with four nominations each.

Following the controversy surrounding the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), the group that votes on them, NBC had dropped plans to televise the show.
