Two multi-vehicle collisions injure 3 people on PIE within minutes

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) says none of the casualties were trapped in the collided vehicles.

Three people were injured on Tuesday evening in two separate multi-vehicle collisions involving four taxis and four cars on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) near Eunos. The two accidents took place within minutes, Channel NewsAsia reported.

The police said they were informed about the accidents along PIE in the direction of Changi Airport at about 8.40 pm. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) added that none of the casualties were trapped in the collided vehicles.

According to the police, the first collision involved three taxis and two cars, while the second one involved two cars and a cab. Two adults, who were injured in the first accident, were taken to Changi General Hospital and another seven-year-old girl, injured in the second one, was taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital. The police are investigating both the collisions.
