Singapore: Police officer dies in motorcycle accident, 27-year-old man arrested

A 27-year-old off-duty police officer has been arrested following the incident, involving two motorcycles.

A 33-year-old motorcyclist, who was an off-duty police officer, died in a traffic accident along the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) on Friday. A 27-year-old off-duty police officer has been arrested following the incident, involving two motorcycles.

The police said that they were informed about the accident along the MCE at about 5.15 am. According to reports, the accident took place at the stretch towards East Coast Parkway before Central Boulevard.

Channel NewsAsia reported that the older motorcyclist was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The police said that the other rider was injured due to the accident.

Police further added that the investigations are still going on.
