Two SBS Transit buses collided in front of Block 516 in Pasir Ris Sunday afternoon leaving seventeen passengers with minor injuries.

All seventeen were conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital in two ambulances and a support vehicle, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said.

Pasir Ris Town is an urban planning area and coastal residential town located in the East Region of Singapore.

The SCDF was alerted to the accident along Pasir Ris Drive 1 - in front of Block 516 - at around 3.40pm, the spokesperson said.

Media have reposted several pictures posted by Facebook user Judy Bakes, and they showed that both buses hit bumper to bumper on the left-most lane of the road.

A report by The Straits Times said the bus services involved were service no 109 and 81 and the former was hitting the rear of the latter.
