A Mercedes driver was driving against traffic flow when he caused a multi-vehicle collision in the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) that killed one. The car made a U-turn against the flow of traffic killing the driver of another car. Four other people -- two men and two women -- were also injured in this accident.

According to the police, the accident involved four cars, a motorcycle and a bus. They have arrested a 53-year-old man for causing death by a rash act. Investigations are still going on.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel extricated the man as he was trapped in the driver's seat. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the SCDF paramedics team.

A Facebook user named Patrick Tan posted a video that showed the Mercedes being driven at high speed before colliding with a motorcycle.
