Lenovo has sent some early press invites for the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which clearly suggests a new Moto phone being launched at the event on 26 February. It is now being speculated that the event could actually see the launch of highly-rumoured Moto G5 Plus.

The Moto G series has been immensely successful as a trendsetter in the entry-level and budget markets, ever since its inception in 2013. Riding on the success of the first-gen Moto G devices, we could expect a bunch of second-gen handsets being rolled out later this year, starting with the announcement of the G5 Plus at the MWC.

The newer Moto handsets like the Moto M have been shipping with a revamped Vibe UI as a change in marketing strategy by Lenovo. However, the legacy of the stock UI from Motorola is still appreciated by loyal Moto fans and it remains to be seen if the MWC will bring in some pleasant surprises for the Android purists.
