As The Android Soul reports, Moto X Pure edition was last updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop while the G4 Play, Z Play and Z Play Droid shipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Apart from the Moto G4 and G4 Plus, a bunch of Motorola devices including the Moto X Force and the Droid Turbo 2 are poised to get the Nougat update following the recent clearance by Bluetooth SIG. Moto X Style is likely to see the Nougat update, especially after its recent appearance on GFXBench.

The arrival of 2017 looks promising for Motorola users as several of the company's handsets are at the verge of embracing the Android Nougat experience. Anxious users may check for the updates manually via the phone's software update section as the handset maker is expected to rollout the new firmware in the next few days.
