iMovie, GarageBand and iWork apps now free for iOS users

Premium multimedia and productivity apps for iOS are now free to download, without the need to purchase any iDevice.

Apple is now offering its premium multimedia and productivity app suite for free to all iOS users as it is no longer mandatory to purchase a new iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or a Mac to download these apps for free via iTunes.

Unlike in the past, you can now download iMovie, GarageBand, iWork and many other apps for free without any qualification criteria like owning an iOS 10-compatible device or an eligible Mac computer purchased on or after 1 October 2013.

Some of the noteworthy iWork apps available for free include pages, Numbers, and Keynote for iCloud. These apps should come in handy for productive work like collaborative editing of all your documents in a Mac or PC brower.

iMovie app for iOS now supports editing 4K videos on iPhone 6s or later devices. You could enjoy several improvements being added with regular updates to these premium apps in the near future.
