Australia: Man dies after mountain bike crash in Tathra

The man was riding the bike when the mishap happened, said police.

A mountain bike crash near Tathra, Australia claimed the life of an elderly rider on 14 October.

The emergency services received a call from the bike track on Evans Hill, on White Road Rock, at around 5pm on Friday after the body of a 68-year-old man was discovered.

According to the police, the man, who is likely from the Snowy Mountains, was driving the bike when the mishap happened.

A probe has been ordered by the officers from Far South Coast Local Area Command and a report will also be prepared soon for the Coroner.
