Singapore: 36-year-old man arrested for slashing woman in Bukit Panjang

The victim who sustained severe injuries was rushed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man on 7 January for allegedly slashing a 34-year-old woman in a flat in Singapore's Bukit Panjang area.

Channel News Asia reported that the police were alerted about the incident at Block 632A, Senja Road at around 8.10 am on Saturday, following which the officers rushed to the spot. The victim, who received some serious injuries, was immediately sent to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

According to Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the hospital was informed beforehand and it was prepared to receive the critical patient.

It was also reported that the victim's right arm sustained a deep cut from and slashing incident. However, she was fully conscious when she was being taken to the hospital.

Police have ordered an investigation into the matter and the man has already been taken into custody for causing grievous hurt deliberately with a dangerous weapon.
