Overview

Sydney Sixers have already won as many matches they won in their entire campaign last season following which they finished at the bottom of the group table. With two wins from three matches this season, Moises Henriques' team has made all the right noises so far in the ongoing season.

The skipper himself has been consistent with the bat scoring 100 runs from two games as Sixers have successfully chased down totals twice in three attempts. The Sixers stunned defending champions Thunder in the Sydney derby with a nine-wicket win but were blown away at the Sydney Cricket Ground by Hobart Hurricanes, who clinched a 60-run win after posting 200.

However, the Sixers, with the help of some consistent bowling performances, came back strongly to defeat Perth Scorchers by six wickets. England international Sam Billings has been a solid addition to the team along with opener Jason Roy, who will be back for Saturday's game after missing Scorchers match due to injury.

Ben Dwarshuis, Doug Bollinger, Sean Abbott and Botha have all combined well to click as a unit so far. It will be crucial that the Sixers tick all the right boxes in their first game on the road. On the other hand, Adelaide Strikers have not lived up to the expectations so far, losing both their games of the 2016 season.

Ben Dunk and Travis Head have impressed with quick-fire fifties in the first two matches but their bowling unit consisting the likes of Ben Laughlin, Kane Richardson, Kieron Pollard and Chris Jordan has failed the team as they have conceded 403 runs in two matches.

Pollard's poor form, both with the bat and the ball, has been letting the team down as well. If the Strikers are to finish 2016 with a high, a lot will depend on the West Indies all-rounder's form at home.
