Residents in West Mosul are rebuilding their lives after the victory over Isis. Hundreds of people are returning home after the city is back in government hands. Some decided to rebuild their destroyed houses and shops without waiting for help from the cash-strapped Iraqi government. Others are busy repairing streets, power lines and sewage systems. While many basic services are still missing, a makeshift restaurant has already opened up again.
