A coastguard crew has rescued a man from the Worcester Cathedral Bell Tower. The 53-year-old man fell ill during a practice of a historical re-enactment group. Local rescuers called the coastguard because of the height of the tower. The internal stair case would have also been too narrow to transport the man on a stretcher. The crew transported the man to a field where he was picked up by an ambulance.
