Overview

South Africa lost their opening match at the hands of England, despite posting a target of 230 runs in 20 overs. They bounced back in their second match of the tournament when they took on Afghanistan.

A victory against West Indies on Friday will see them edge closer to a place in the semi-final of the tournament. However, a defeat will help West Indies to seal a berth in the last four of this edition of the T20 World Cup.

Darren Sammy's side have already won their first two matches against England and Sri Lanka. After the clash against South Africa, they will face Afghanistan. Should West Indies suffer a defeat at the hands of Faf du Plessis side, they will bank on beat Afghanistan to qualify for the knockout stages.
