Overview

Just like Group 2 clash between New Zealand and Bangladesh, the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 fixture between Afghanistan and West Indies is also a dead rubber. Both New Zealand and West Indies have sealed their place in the last four of the tournament.

Darren Sammy's side confirmed their semi-final berth after defeating South Africa on Friday. The Caribbean side are leading Group 1 table with six points after three matches. They will be looking to finish the table with eight points with a victory over the weekend.

On the other hand, just like Bangladesh, Afghanistan are without a win in the tournament. Both teams have lost all three fixtures in the Super 10 and it will be difficult for Afghanistan to seal a victory over the table toppers.
