Razer Phone designed for hardcore gamers, includes Tekken, Titanfall Assault, Final Fantasy 15 and more

Singaporean-founded computer hardware firm Razer on Thursday, November 2 launched the Razer Phone, a next-generation handset device designed for hardcore mobile gamers.

Razer boasts its partnership with AAA publishers and the world's biggest gaming companies like Square Enix Holdings, Tencent and Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe "to bring the best gaming experiences to mobile", the company said in a statement to IBTimes Singapore. Mobile video games like Tekken, Titanfall: Assault and Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition are all optimised by partner developers to leverage Razer Phone's UltraMotion display that supports up to 120 frames per second.

The Razer Phone sports a 5.72-inch Quad HD IGZO LCD display, Dolby Atmos speaker, Snapdragon 835 chipset, 8-gigabyte RAM and a massive 4,000 mAh battery for all-day play. It has a 12-megapixel main camera and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Razer co-founder and chief Min-Liang Tan reveals where he draws inspiration for coming up with this killer gaming smartphone.

"It's common knowledge that I'm obsessed with my smartphones, I play a ton of games on them, and they're my go-to for streaming content," says Tan. "We have wanted to make a phone with gaming-level tech for years, and the Razer Phone delivers in every way we imagined."

Tencent Games global marketing director Vincent Gao is proud to pioneer the future of mobile gaming sphere with Razer, saying the Razer Phone is the ideal device to handle its multiplayer game Arena of Valor.

"The future of gaming is rapidly expanding to mobile devices, and both Razer and Tencent are at the forefront of fast-tracking development," says Gao in a statement. "Arena of Valor brings gamers a fast-paced, competitive experience, and the Razer Phone was built to handle the visuals, sound and quick-reflex mechanics of the game."
