Japan Warriors take on Indian Aces on the second day of the Singapore leg of International Premier Tennis League on 7 December.

The Aces avenged their Japan leg defeat to table-toppers UAE Royals on Tuesday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium with a 26-19 win. The India-based unit was on top of their game and in no set, except the Men's singles, were troubled by their opposition.

While Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna continued to impress for the Aces, Kirsten Flipkens came up with another top show, this time beating Royals' star player Ana Ivanovic 6-3. The absence of Roger Federer, who was not able to join the team for the ongoing season, did not affect the team much but Men's singles player Feliciano Lopez went down against Tomas Berdych.

A win on Wednesday will take the Aces to the top of the standings and they will be well-placed to play their home leg after being in a dominant position. On the other hand, Warriors were decimated 29-16 by home team Singapore Slammers, who made best use of the home support on Tuesday.

While Kei Nishikori made a couple of appearance in Japan, he did not take the court against the Slammers. Both their singles players - Jelena Jankovic and Fernando Verdasco - came up with ordinary performances. The Warriors did not even collect the bonus point and are struggling at the bottom of the table with just four points.

The Aces defeated the Warriors in the Japan leg and the latter will have to avenge their defeat if they are to stay in contention for the final spot in the tournament.
