The most attractive feature of Huawei P10 series, other than the 4.5G technology, is its camera, which is as good as a DSLR.

"Huawei P10 is world's first 4.5G LTE smartphone. It gives two times fast download speed. It comes with 4x4 mimo technology with quad antenna which can help reduce call drops by up to 60 per cent even in weak signal," Huawei Consumer Group Business CEO Richard Yu said while launching Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus smartphones at the Mobile World Congress, 2017 in Barcelona.

The phone will be available in selected markets from next month, informed one company official. Different models of P10 are priced within the range of SGD 1039 to SGD 1188.

Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are the successors of P9 model, which was launched last year. While P9 had dual Leica lens at the back, the new P10 series has added Leica lens on the front side as well. Taking inspiration from Apple, Huawei has added the Portrait Model feature to create a bokeh effect that's similar to what you would get from a professional DSLR. All these features make it really appealing to photography enthusiasts. Also this time around, you'll notice a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with a 12-megapixel main sensor in both the phones.

With this latest launch, Huawei has also incorporated new colour variants, which include greenery and dazzling blue.

"We have developed colour for our phones in collaboration with Pantone Color Institute," Yu said.

Additionally, P10 and P10 are hardier compared to its predecessors as it has demonstrated an 80 per cent improvement in the drop test, said the company chief. Huawei P10 Plus comes with a 3750 Mah battery and P10 with a 3200 Mah. According to Yu, the phones get entirely charged within 30 minutes and lasts for a whole day.

Other than that both these smartphones have a 5.5 inch display and a 4 GB and 6 GB RAM in P10 and P10 Plus, respectively.

Along with this very powerful smartphone, the Chinese company has also unveiled the second version of its smartwatch line priced in the range of SGD 489 to SGD 593.
