Gong Myung reveals about his new role as God in upcoming tvN drama

The drama is reportedly based on a popular Korean manhwa which will also star Nam Joo Hyuk and f(x)'s Krystal.

Actor Gong Myung recently revealed about his upcoming project with Marie Claire's April issue magazine where he is the latest celebrity to be featured. In the interview, Myung said that he has begun shooting for the tvN drama "Bride of the Water God" which is the tentative title of the drama.

He revealed that his role in the upcoming movie will be of a God, Biryeom, who lives among humans. According to Soompi, he stated, "In the past, I played mostly 'daily life' characters, so it was easy to find references for the roles. I could actually observe people living that life."

He further added, "But this time, you have to read the scenario and become part of an imaginary world. It is difficult, but it's also fun. It feels like I'm becoming a part of that world."

When the 22-year-old actor was asked what he would do if was actually God, he said he just wants to be able to teleport. "So once I finish work, I could go straight to my room and go to bed in an instant," he said jokingly.

The tvN fantasy drama, "Bride of the Water God" is scheduled to release sometime this year. The drama is reportedly based on a popular Korean manhwa which will also star Nam Joo Hyuk and f(x)'s Krystal.

In the meantime, Gong Myung was seen alongside actress Jung Hye Sung in a small spring wedding on the April 8 installment of 'We Got Married'.

According to allkpop, they went to Jeju island for the ceremony but it was, unfortunately, raining when they reached, however, the skies cleared up after some time. They kept it very simple by exchanging vows and playing John Legend's "All of Me."

Gong Myung revealed, "It was just a wedding for the two of us, but it made me even more nervous. It felt very different."

On the other hand, Jung Hye Sung expressed, "I'm usually very straightforward, but in that moment, I became a young girl."
