An XDA developer has just released a new custom ROM for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus owners based on the Galaxy Note 8 in Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The Ambasadii is still in beta so issues might occur in fits and starts.
Some Ambasadii Note 8 custom ROM features include full Note 8 port (apps, framework, libs, etc.), Busybox, iOS emoji pack, Google Assistant support, 1060 fonts pack and AdAway app, among many others. You also have the option to include some add-ons such as Always On Display, Baby Crying detector, Edge features and Air Command, among many others.
Before proceeding with the installation, back up the phone's data, enable USB debugging and install recovery tool like TWRP or ClockworkMod. Make sure the device is rooted and is 50 per cent charged to avoid interruption.
