Overview

England made it to the semi-final after finishing on top of Group A. They achieved this feat after managing three wins in three matches in the group stages, registering victories over Bangladesh, New Zealand and Australia.

Bangladesh were the other side to make it to the last four from Group A. The world champions and the Kiwis have been knocked out of the tournament. Meanwhile, Pakistan made it to the semi-final after finishing runners-up in Group B, behind leaders India.

The Asian side made it to the knockout stages after managing a victory over Sri Lanka. Pakistan will be hoping they can stop England from reaching their second successive Champions Trophy final by managing a victory over them on Wednesday.
