Borussia Dortmund take on AS Monaco in the first leg of 2016/17 Champions League quarter-final at the Westfalenstadion on Tuesday.

The hosts defeated Portugal's FC Benfica 5-0 on aggregate in their Round of 16. On the other hand, Monaco edged past Premier League giants Manchester City 6-6 by virtue of away-goal advantage to reach the last-eight stages of the competition.

Dortmund have been in rampant goal-scoring form in the ongoing tournament, finding the back of the net 21 times during the group stages and adding five more to it in R16. However, their recent form is a cause of concern as they head into tonight's crucial match.

Thomas Tuchel's men have won only two of their last four Bundesliga games and the fourth-placed side also suffered a 4-1 defeat to leaders Bayern Munich on Sunday. On the other hand, Monaco have been enjoying a solid run in Ligue 1, having a three-point cushion over second-placed Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the return of Dortmund playmaker Marco Reus, midfielder Shinji Kagawa and Lukasz Piszczek will boost the side's confidence. Aslo, all eyes will be on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the team's top-scorer, with seven in the competition, will be looking to add to his tally.

Monaco will be high on confidence after their inspiring win against City but they have to be at their best if they are to progress in the tournament beyond the last-eight stages for the first time since 2003.
