Taiwanese fans' make Goblin actor Gong Yoo cry at first fan meet there

Goblin actor, Gong Yoo held his first fan meeting in Taiwan on April 29 and entertained his fans for three and a half hours. The 37-year old actor has reportedly been receiving a lot of love and appreciation for his dramas in Taiwan since the time of "Coffee Prince," and his tickets were sold out in 10 minutes for the event after it went on sale, Soop Entertainment reported.

In fact, the popularity of the actor in Taiwan is so much that the Taiwanese news media reported everything about Gong Yoo right from the moment he landed on April 27. The major Taiwanese media outlets shared about his media conference on April 28 and also about his fan meeting on April 29 till his departure on April 30. On the day of the fan-meet, fans flocked to the venue from all over the world to meet the actor.

The actor, dressed in suit and fedora, shared stories about his childhood, work, and hobbies in the said event. Gong Yoo also sang along to a fan playing guitar. Not only that, he even recorded his voice for the fans.

The most interesting part, however, is when Gong Yoo's close friend, singer-songwriter MYQ, revealed some secrets about the actor. The other performers of the event include Kwon Jin Ah, Sam Kim, and Jung Seung Hwan and Gong Yoo said, "I really like these three singers, so much that I actively search for their music. Sam Kim actually sang, 'Who are you,' my theme song from 'Goblin.'"

According to Soompi, the event took an emotional turn when the actor became teary-eyed while watching a touching video from his fans. It was a surprise from the Taiwanese fans' and after watching it Gong Yoo said, "The tears I'm shedding are a form of self-reflection. I've been working for so long without taking a break, and I think it's made me very weakhearted. I will take your sincerity as a source of strength, and I will do my best to become a stronger person."
