Kristen Stewart has opened up about her Twilight years and the career on the big screen that followed it. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 26-year-old actress, who played the role of Bella Swan in the films, was showed pictures of her with the cast from five years ago.

Ellen DeGeneres asked what she thinks of that episode, she replied: "Really uncomfortable hair extensions. I look at those photos and I feel like I'm looking at a college yearbook."

"It was just after what my high school experience would have been, so it feels like just after," she continued. "I don't jump right back into those memories, but as soon as you see a picture, you're like, 'Ooh, god, that was like yesterday,' and then it's not."

Stewart continued: "It was something I was really invested in, mattered to so many people. It was something personal [that] became not the most personal thing. Which is awesome, because to share something like that is great, but at the same time, I was 17 or 18 when it all went down, and that's kind of the most uncomfortable, weird [time]... It forced me to stand at attention in a way. Who knows if I didn't have that."

The five films that are based on the best-selling novels of Stephenie Meyer have been a huge success since its first release in 2008. The much-awaited film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 released worldwide in November 2012, marking an end to the popular vampire-themed fantasy film series.
