Padmavati movie is all set for its release on December 1, despite controversies and opposition from the distributors who have turned down the rights of the movie amidst accusations of distorting history.

The makers of the movie finally have a reason to celebrate, with the release of its new poster, where actress Deepika Padukone is portraying the role of 'Rani Padmini'. Her regal look has impressed trade analysts and actors of the industry.

One of the trade analysts Sumeet Kadel has tweeted:

The makers are teasing the audience by releasing one poster at a time. However, the previous posters were trolled by the public because of Deepika 's unibrow and the savage look of Alauddin Khilji. Factions from the Rajput community threatened that they will burn the theatres down. Even in the pre-movie release party hosted by Deepika Padukone, she was trolled badly.

Now, the newly released poster has given Deepika a different look where she is channelizing her fiercest version of Rani Padmavati, dressed in a traditional Ghagra Choli outfit with exquisite jewelry. Her loyal subjects are seen surrounding her in the picture making the poster look every bit royal. It is being assumed that the poster depicts the legendary 'Johar' climax.

The makers have also planned on launching new posters of Shahid Kapoor, who is playing the role of Maha Rawal Ratan Singh, and Ranveer Singh playing Alauddin Khilji for the international audience.

The epic drama, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also has Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh in supporting roles.

The film is based on the epic poem Padmavati (1540) by Malik Muhammed Jayasi. It is scheduled to release on November 30, 2017, in selected countries and on December 1, 2017 worldwide. Viewers will also get to experience the movie in a special 3D format.
