Enthiran 2.0 is becoming a rage in Kollywood Industry for numerous reasons. It has roped in two superstars as leads in the movie. Moreover, it is Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar's first Tamil Movie.

The music launch of Enthiran 2.0 was held in Dubai, where the filmmakers spent almost Rs.12 crore for the event. But the latest report from Deccan Chronicle reveals that Akshay Kumar surprisingly will not be essaying the role of the villain in this movie.

The costume and the appearance of Akshay Kumar suggested that the Bollywood actor might play the role of a ferocious character. To everyone's surprise, the superstar will actually be portraying a positive character.

Fans of both the superstars will be surprised, as the movie poster which was unveiled earlier, showcased Rajnikanth essaying his usual role of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti whereas Akshay, is found portraying a ferocious Dr. Richard.

Initially, Kamal Hassan was the choice for the role of Dr. Richard, but he refused it. In an interview, he stated that he was worried about the film budget which might prove difficult in handling both the superstars together.

"It was never a villainous part even when it was offered to Kamal Haasan. Once Akshay came in, even the hints of negativity were removed as they clashed with his image of the national hero." sources told Deccan Chronicle newspaper.

The movie Enthiran 2.0 which is directed by Shankar, features Rajanikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. AR Rahman has scored the tunes for the movie.

As per reports, it has been decided that the movie will be released on Indian Republic day, that is on January 26, 2018, for it was deemed a lucky charm for Akshay Kumar. However, it might be pushed to some other date due to the release of "Balki", Akshay Kumar's another upcoming movie.
