Assassin's Creed to get a TV show, confirms Ubisoft

However, there is no information about the story of the upcoming TV series as well.

The video game lovers will be glad to know that the popular game "Assassin's Creed" is announced to be made into a TV series. Ubisoft finally announced that the title of the said TV series is in the works already. The news about the same came on Reddit during an "Ask Me Anything" session with Aymar Azaizia, the game's head of content.

It was when a fan asked about the rumoured project, Azaizia made the confirmation. According to his statement as cited by BitBag, "Ubisoft is indeed for the program."

In fact, the CEO of Guillemot mentioned last year about talking with Netflix regarding a series. Fans now know what he was actually talking about.

The details about the upcoming series are not revealed yet, as they don't want to hurry things up by disclosing anything right now. When another fan asked Azaizia about details of the said TV series, the head of content just said that they will take some time to "get sure we deliver something we can be proud of."

Well, it can be assumed that the premiere of the show would not come anytime soon. In fact, there is no information about the story of the upcoming TV series as well. It also remains unclear whether the show will focus on one or on several assassin ancestors.

For now, the only good thing available for the fans is that Ubisoft is working on the show. Meanwhile, speculations started suggesting that the upcoming TV show can possibly be related to the 2016 movie which features Michael Fassbender. Even if that happens, fans are not sure whether it will be a prequel or sequel of it.
