Animated Mr Bean's Facebook Live debut: Get ready for interactive game of charades

At this livestream event animated Mr Bean will interact and respond live to his audience, enabled by new capabilities recently released in Adobe Character Animator CC (Beta)

Mr. Bean has been the dose of laughter for past 27 years. In 2001, the classic animated series was introduced to the fans after receiving a lot of love for the live action comedy series. Now, Adobe & Endemol Shine, the owner of the Mr. Bean franchise is ready for a special live stream of our hapless hero. This worldwide broadcast will be Mr. Bean's Facebook Live debut, and the first time the animated Mr. Bean will interact real-time with his fans online.

According to Adobe, "At this live stream event animated Mr. Bean will interact and respond live to his audience, enabled by new capabilities recently released in Adobe Character Animator CC (Beta)."

Mr. Bean is the largest TV entertainment brand on Facebook and the 22nd largest page on the social media platform (recently surpassing The Simpsons).

This activation will provide a unique opportunity for 69 million Mr. Bean fans across 195 territories to join in and play along, guessing what he is acting out while animated in real-time with the help of Adobe's Character Animator solution.

Adobe enlightened about the special live stream by stating that this will be very different from the comedy series that the fans have watched all these years as "instead of a pre-animated storyline, this 30-minute Facebook live stream will be presented in the form of an interactive game of charades where Mr. Bean will act out seven sets of words and things. The audience will then guess and comment via Facebook, to which he will immediately respond with live, real-time expressions and reactions that are determined and controlled by the animators behind the scenes."

"No one can say for certain what Mr. Bean will come up with during the Facebook Live session, so fans can expect some impromptu fun and games, and an innovative new experience. There will also be appearances from the animated series favourites such as Scrapper the Cat," Adobe told International Business Times Singapore.

This is currently scheduled as a one-time live stream, but stay tuned for more updates as the teams at Endemol Shine Group continue to push the boundaries to demonstrate bold and ambitious work.

Don't miss this incredible opportunity! Tune into Facebook Live on the Mr. Bean Facebook page on 3 May 3:30 pm BST and 10.30pm SGT, for a laugh riot.
