Wanna One, BTS emerge as top bands once again

Korean boy bands Wanna One and BTS emerged again as the most talked about Korean singers for the month of January.

The Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation has released the new brand reputation rankings based on an analysis of big data collected from December 26 to January 27. It analyzed 145.53 million pieces of big data, an increase of 11.49 percent from 130.54 million last December and it was based on the results of media coverage, communication, participation and community indices.

Eleven-member Wanna One topped the rankings again with a score of 13.52 million, an increase of 2.9 percent from 13.14 million in the last rankings.

BTS grabbed second place again with a total score of 11.92 million, down by 3.13 percent compared to their December score of 12.31 million.

Girl group TWICE placed third with 8.24 million, falling by 10.89 percent from 9.25 million last month, but enough for them to rise by one spot.

EXO slid from third to fourth place with a score of 8.21 million, down by 14.59 percent compared to their December total of 9.61 million.

Solo artist IU is in fifth place with 7.13 million, a decrease of 16.12 percent from 8.51 million last month.

16. Mamamoo - 2.97 million

17. Hyuna - 2.85 million

18. Winner - 2.83 million

19. Infinite - 2.77 million

20. Gummy - 2.7 million
