Speculations are rife regarding the casting of the sequel of super hit film Train to Busan. Gong Yoo played the lead in the first instalment while there are rumours that Descendants of the Sun actress Song Hye Ko will join Yoo in the second part.

During a recent fashion event, Hye Ko expressed her interest in working with the Goblin star for which he reportedly appreciated her thoughts. Ever since the interview, there are strong rumours that Hye Ko and Yoo will share the screen space for the second instalment. And to add more, the two stars are yet to sign their next project so fans are hoping to see them pairing on screen soon.

Well, that is one side of the coin. On the other side, there are reports that Gong Yoo will be replaced by Song Hye Kyo's lead man from Descendants of the Sun, Song Joong Ki. A report on Korea Portal stated that Yoo's character was in a very complicated state in the first part and the makers are planning to make the second instalment a separate film rather than a continuation.

The report further stated that Joong Ki's character will try to stop the zombie virus from spreading and will also find a remedy for the infectious disease in the sequel.

The filming is likely to begin soon. However, all these reports are just speculations and fans have to wait a bit more to find out the complete casting of Train to Busan 2. The first instalment revolves a father and his young daughter who tries to escape from a zombie apocalypse that suddenly breaks in the country.
