Singapore's Temasek buys 232,600 shares in ST Engineering

Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings bought shares worth S$767,254 in Singapore Technologies Engineering.

Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings bought shares worth S$767,254 in Singapore Technologies Engineering.

A filing made by Temasek to the Singapore bourse on Monday showed that Temasek's 232,600 shares were pucrchased by DBS Bank via market transaction.

After the acquisition, Temasek's stake rose to 51 percent in ST Engineering from 50.99 percent earlier.

Temasek, one of the world's biggest state investors, has a large exposure to financials and owns stakes in Chinese banks and Standard Chartered PLC.

Singapore Technologies Engineering shares ended up 1.2 ercent at S$3.3 on the Singapore Exchange. The benchmark Straits Times index fell 0.17 percent.
