Singaporean Motorcyclist, 31, Hospitalized After Collision with Tipper Truck Along Defu Avenue

A 31-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to hospital in an unconscious state following a collision with a tipper truck along Defu Avenue 1 on March 30.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said on Thursday, April 2, that they were informed about the accident at about 6.20 pm. The incident occurred along Defu Avenue 1 in the direction of Hougang Avenue 7 and involved a motorcycle and a tipper truck.

According to the authorities, the motorcyclist was found unconscious at the scene and was conveyed to Changi General Hospital for urgent medical attention. The 41-year-old tipper truck driver is currently assisting police with investigations.

A photo from the aftermath, shared by a member of the public, showed paramedics attending to a man lying on the road. A fallen safety pole could also be seen nearby, suggesting the possible impact of the crash.

In a later update, it was reported that the motorcyclist has regained consciousness and is now in stable condition.

However, the police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are still ongoing.
