SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo wants to be back on stage soon

SEVENTEEN made a comeback with their first repackaged album, Love & Letter, on 4 July.

South Korean band SEVENTEEN made a comeback with their first repackaged album, Love & Letter, on 4 July. The boy band, reportedly, enumerated their launch countdown with a midnight live showcase on Naver's V app.

All the thirteen members, except one, were present at the music gala affair. Unfortunately, the band's hip hop unit member, Wonwoo, did not make it to the event due to health issues. The 19-year-old is reportedly recovering from a case of acute gastritis.

While the singer did not came for the release occasion, he will make his presence felt in the upcoming album. As per reports, Wonwoo, whose full name is Jeon Wonwoo, took part in the album recording and had also shot for a music video for the comeback album. However, he won't appear in music shows and promotional activities scheduled for next month.

In addition to this, the boy band also made a call to Wonwoo to tell him that he was being highly missed amid the live telecast. The singer replied that he is watching the live show and admitted that he wants to be back on the stage. He said: "I'll try hard to get better so I can be back on stage soon."

Seventeen debuted in the Korean music industry in May 2015. Since their debut, the boy band has won the best new artist award at the Seoul Music Awards, Gaon Chart K-pop Awards and Golden Disk Awards. Billboard also tagged the group with one of Music's Hottest Young Stars Under 21.
