Mike Rogers and Dan Coats refuse to comment on Trump conversations Two top US intelligence officials told a Senate committee on Wednesday (7 June) they could not comment on conversations with President Donald Trump, in answer to questions on whether he tried to pressure them to curtail the governments Russia probe.Im not going to talk about theoreticals and Im not going to discuss the specifics of any interaction or conversations ... that I may or may not have had with the president of the United States, Admiral Mike Rogers, head of the National Security Agency, said at a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing.Similarly, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said it would be inappropriate for him to discuss his own conversations with the president in a public forum.

North Korea launches short range surface-to-ship missiles off east coast, says Seoul South Koreas military said that North Korea fired several short-range surface-to-ship missiles off its east coast on Thursday (8 June). The projectiles went around 200km (124 miles) and were launched from the North Korean town of Wonsan in Gangwon province. Through its latest test involving different types of missiles, Pyongyang might be trying to gain the upper hand in relations with South Korea and the US, a spokesman for the South Korean military said.
