Kate Middleton may have disrespected the Queen at Trooping the Colour 2019. Reportedly the Duchess of Cambridge and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall failed to curtsy to the Queen during the Trooping the Colour 2019 celebrations.

Now, we have to say that Meghan Markle may have been severely criticized for the snafu. Apparently, Kate and Camilla did not appropriately pay their respects to the Queen as she returned to Buckingham Palace. Kate and Camilla could apparently be seen awaiting the return of the monarch on the balcony of Buckingham Palace alongside other senior members of the Royal Family.

Reportedly, when the Queen's carriage pulled in past the gates of the Palace, the pair stood still as Sophie, Countess of Wessex and her daughter, Lady Louise, curtsied to the Queen. This is quite a public misstep on Kate's part. She has been part of the Royal Family for about a decade now, she seems to be well-versed in Palace and Royal etiquette. This error could be expected from a new Royal like Meghan Markle, but not Camilla and certainly not Kate Middleton.

The Queen is at the top of the Royal pecking order and the Royal Family has etiquette rules regulating who members have to pay their respect to based on their respective place in the pecking order. So, it is expected of both Camilla and Kate to curtsy to the Queen during formal engagements. Could this misstep have been an accident or an act of defiance? Kate Middleton knows better than to get on the bad side of the Queen. Kate Middleton has been a dutiful Royal for a while now, following protocols and doing her Royal duties without a lot of complaining. We guess, we'll have to attribute this snafu as an accident as neither Kate nor Camilla would intentionally want to disrespect the Queen. At least we don't think so.
