Ex T-ara member Hwayoung was scheduled to attend the new KBS drama "Father is Strange" production team's presentation, but pulled out due to the recent controversies surrounding her. According to a representative of the new drama, the 23-year-old actress will not be attending the presentation, scheduled to be held on 28 February because of the bullying scandal. Moreover, other than Hwayoung, Lee Joon Hyuk, Min Jin Woong, Lee Mi Do, and Ahn Hyo Seob will also not be attending the presentation.
The singer turned actress became one of the main accused, along with her twin sister Hyoyoung, of the bullying scandal that tarnished the image of T-ara. "It's a shame. Thinking about it now, it's something that can definitely happen between girls. Looking back, we were still young and inexperienced. I, also, wasn't an adult," said Hwayoung, as reported by Soompi.
"I locked myself in my room and cried a lot. I had lost a lot of weight at the time, and my sister, choking up, told me to stop losing weight," she added.
Meanwhile, many fans said that the former Kpop idol should refrain from participating in the upcoming production. Hwayoung decision to star in the second instalment of Age of Youth proves that she will continue to be strong during the current crisis.
The upcoming KBS drama, "Father is Strange" also stars Lee Joon, Kim Young Chul, Jung So Min, and Kim Hae Sook . The upcoming drama tells the story of an actor (played by Lee Joon) who was intially in an idol group. He runs into a family (Kim Young Chul and Kim Hae Sook) with four children after leaves the idol group and starts living with them.
