Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo's forthcoming marriage is undoubtedly one of the biggest events in the Hallyu community. It is like a fairytale wedding to many; seeing their favourite on-screen couple become real husband and wife. While a lot of details have emerged on the SongSong couple's relationship history and their marriage plans, interesting tidbits about the beautiful couple continue to reveal themselves. 'Descendants of the Sun' writer revealed such a heart fluttering detail about the lead stars of her famous drama.
As noted by website Soompi, 'Descendants of the Sun' and 'Goblin' screenwriter Kim Eun-sook was recently spoke about Song Jong-ki and Song Hye-kyo and whether the lines of dialogue she wrote for them, brought them together. Kim Eun-sook didn't divulge much and said, "I think you'll have to ask Song Hye-kyo herself." However, she did reveal how the drama affected Song Hye-kyo's husband-to-be, as told to her by the actress herself.
"Song Hye-kyo did say this though. She said that Yoo Si-jin [Song Joong-ki's character in the drama] actually changed him in real life. Song Joong-ki used to have a very manly personality, but he became sweeter [after being in the drama]," Kim Eun-sook said. Kim Eun-sook also said, "They love each other to death. I'm genuinely happy for them." So, her writing actually had a most significant impact on the lives of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo.
It was already revealed earlier by the SongSong couple how acting in the drama brought them closer. It was actor Jo In-sung, who after refusing the Yoo Si-jin role, had recommended Song Joong-ki to the production staff. Also, as revealed by an acquaintance on July 5, the two stars started developing feelings for each other before 'Descendants of the Sun' had aired. The couple then accompanied each other as often as they could, on their respective international schedules. It was also revealed that at their first date in Tokyo, Song Joong-ki proposed to Song Hye-kyo.
Recently, Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki were in the news after being spotted together catching a flight bound for Los Angeles. A photo of the couple from inside the plane's cabin had circulated via social media on September 3, Soompi had noted. On September 4, a source from Song Hye-kyo's agency revealed, "They have individual schedules there, so they left together."
