Two US military allies could soon be at war

Tensions are mounting between two US backed military forces on the ground in Iraq. Iraqi military forces assaulted an oil field in Kurdish-controlled Kirkuk. This further complicates the fight against the Islamic State (Isis). The Iran-backed militia and the Kurdish forces have a common enemy in the Islamic State. And while the US supports both groups mission to eradicate Isis in the Middle East, Kurdish military officials claimed Iran-backed militias armed with US equipment took part in the attack.

The gas stations security camera shows a man jumping into a womans car and drive away while she is pumping gas on Oct. 12, 2017. The woman jumped into the passenger side door and the attempted hijacker fled after a truck driver pulled him from the car.

Shocking video captures horrific acid attack in London

Two men have been convicted of conducting random chemical attacks and violent robberies in London. Sadik Kamara, 24, and Joshua Gordon, 20, were both found guilty of applying a corrosive fluid with intent to burn, main, disfigure or do grievous bodily harm at Wood Green Crown Court on 10 October. The Met Police have released shocking CCTV footage of one of the incidents, where a gang including Kamara and Gordon entered a supermarket in Hackney, and sprayed the shopkeeper with ammonia three times in the face, before stamping on her. The pair will be sentenced on 17 November.

At least 13 killed during prison fight in northern Mexico

At least 13 people were dead after a fight broke out between rival gangs in a prison in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon and security troops were sent in to quell the riot, a state security official said on Tuesday (October 10). The death toll could rise as eight people were in a critical condition, the official said.

Police are investigating after a van driver in Manchester appeared to attempt to lure three young children to his van by offering them doughnuts. CCTV footage of the incident was posted onto Facebook on 7 October by the mother of the girls, Rechelle Marcia Haigh, where it has been viewed over 490,000 times. She wrote in the post, When I approached this man he acted weird and asked me if my kids wanted some doughnuts then drove off when I stepped out the house.
