Coldplay returns to Singapore; tickets on sale from Monday

The band will perform live in April in Singapore

The new year will start with a bang for Singaporeans as the British band Coldplay is all set to return to the Southeast Asian country with a live performance on 1 April 2017 at the National Stadium

In November, the Grammy-winners announced their Asian tour which is a part of their world tour called A Head Full Of Dreams and the said that they will be performing in five countries including Taiwan, the Philippines and Korea for the first time. They performed last in Japan and Singapore in the year 2014 and 2009 respectively.

The tickets for the concert are also going on sale from 21 November at 10am in Singapore and Tokyo. In Manila, Seoul and Taipei tickets will be available from 24 November. Tickets are available via all Sportshubtix channels , show promoter Live Nation Lushington said.

The prices for the tickets are going at $78, $128, $168 and $268. Limited VIP tickets are available for a whopping price of $298. Standing tickets are also available but only to those aged 12 and above and are priced $128 and $228.

Lushington also announced pre-sale tickets for Citi card holders. These will be available from 17 November at 10am to 19 November at 11.59pm.

Since March 2016, the band has played to 2.5 million people across Latin America, the US and Europe as part of the A Head Full Of Dreams Tour. The last stop for the band will be Australia and New Zealand in December before they head toward the Asian countries.

The band also announced the date of their performances on Twitter for all the five counties.
