Chinese Accessories giant opens its first mobile accessories store in India

Chinese IT accessories maker Intartic started its first mobile accessories store in India. It plans to start 5 more accessories stores around the country.

Chinese IT accessories maker Intartic, which owns "Rock" and "Rock Space" brands, on Monday opened its first mobile accessories store in the capital.

The company plans to open five or six more outlets in the country.

"Counterfeit mobile accessories are increasingly becoming a menace and are a hindrance for digital revolution. To counter this, Intartic has come up with its first store which offers only genuine products and warranty," Ramashish Ray, Founder and CEO, Intartic Engineering Pvt Ltd, said in a statement.

The store will feature an "Experience Zone" where prospective buyers can check the quality of the accessories.

"Counterfeit batteries and chargers can not only damage the mobile phones but also be harmful to the users. The 'Rock Space' store will be beneficial to the industry and consumers alike," added Pankaj Mohindroo, Founder and President, Indian Cellular Association.

"Rock" is the biggest third party accessories brand in China with $123 million turnover per annum.

According to industry estimates, mobile phone accessories market in the country will reach a value of $3,545 million by the end of 2026, at a growth of 10.4 per cent.
