'Bride of the Water God' (The Bride of Habaek') lead actor Nam Jo-hyuk has revealed that he is very much like most mortals when it comes to heights.

As noted by website Koreaboo via news outlet Sports Donga, the cast of 'Bride of the Water God,' revealed during a live stream, the difficulties they faced during shooting certain scenes. For 'Weightlifting fairy' actor Nam Joo-hyuk, suspended mid-air by wires proved to be the most difficult.

"It's difficult because we have to act while considering the computer graphics. I have a fear of heights so I was really scared when I had to film a scene where I was strung up in mid-air by wires," Nam Joo-hyuk said, adding, "I really hope our writer is listening."

It appears that Joo-hyuk may not want to film more of such risky scenes, hence his plea to 'The Bride of Habaek' screenwriter Jung Yoon-jung. Even though his co-stars, Gong Myung and Krystal did not make any such plea, they also revealed difficulties while filming such scenes; Gong Myung in particular.

"Since I'm the god of the skies, I had a scene where I had to be wired up and lifted into the air. I had a tough time because it was so high up," Gong Myung said. To this, Krystal added, "I struggled for the same reasons."

However, there was one person who did not share the concerns of the other two. Shin Se-kyung said, "I like riding the wires. There are some aspects that are physically tiring, but it's fun to film and imagine the scene with computer graphics." The wires will eventually be erased digitally during post-production, making it look like the actors are floating in the skies.

Recently, in a press conference, the director of 'The Bride of Habaek' had accepted that there were some inevitable similarities between his drama and tvN's own 'Goblin.' Nam Joo-hyuk was also asked whether he noticed similarities in speeches by Gong Yoo's Kim Shin and his character in the respective dramas. He had said, "It isn't something that I thought of beforehand. When reading the script, that way of speaking just naturally came out."

The first episode of 'The Bride of Habaek' aired on July 3, with 3.66 percent ratings in South Korea, as per AGB Nielsen ratings service. The second episode will air tonight on tvN at 10.50 p.m. KST.
