2PM's Taecyeon says goodbye to his last drama before military enlistment

2PM is apparently planning for a comeback in September.

The 16-episode horror-comedy drama starring OK Taecyeon and Kim So Hyun, Hey Ghost, Let's Fight, came to an end on 30 August. While the tvN drama did not garner high ratings, the male lead of the show, 2PM's Taecyeon, was applauded for his tremendous performance.

Following the last episode, the main rapper of the South Korean band expressed his heartfelt goodbye to the Korean drama. The singer spoke out through his label, JYP Entertainment. He said: "This summer was super hot, but I was happy to be able to bring viewers a bit of coolness through 'Hey Ghost, Let's Fight'. I'm also happy that I met such a great staff and great actors on set. I'm thankful that I was able to show a better side of me in acting, and I hope that you'll continue to have high expectations for me."

Taecyeon will be reportedly heading to JYP Nation's upcoming family concert in Japan.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old previously revealed that Hey Ghost, Let's Fight might be his last drama. The singer who portrayed the character of an exorcist, stated that the mystery comic drama will be his last project before joining the military services in 2017. He told Allkpop: "I think of ['Hey Ghost, Let's Fight'] as my last project before I enlist in the army next year, and I am working very diligently on filming. Please look forward [to the drama]."

Reportedly, Taecyeon and the main vocalist of 2PM, Jun K, will be enlisting together. The 28-year-old previously told TV daily: "Taecyeon and I are considering enlisting together, but as for the other members, we haven't discussed any details."
