Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus have been in the hot seat recently for failing to meet expectations in different drop tests. While durability remains questionable for these flagship smartphones because of their sophisticated design, there are still a couple things that Samsung fans should know to make the most out of these devices.

Use split screen for multitasking

Samsung has pioneered a multitasking feature for smartphones, and with the split screen capability of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, users have the additional supremacy to juggle two activities simultaneously. The split screen ability of these handsets must be groundbreaking as Samsung slowly brings its smartphone closer to what tablets and PCs can do.

Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus empowers users to stream live sports events and attend to emails, to check both Instagram and Facebook feeds, and a lot of other options. Just make sure to enable the split-screen mode on the multitasking menu and choose which apps to be viewed on the phone's oversized display.

Turn camera into DLSRs

For those who have a knack at seeing the good angle and capturing stunning photos, Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus could be a handy tool to have. These phones rock a 12mp main camera with f/1.7 aperture, ideal to be used in low-light situations and to pull off bokeh-filled portrait shots.

With Pro mode, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus can morph into lightweight DLSRs. This feature gives users the hand to customize camera settings, including the ISO, aperture, exposure, and white balance.

The floating camera shutter button is another feature that everyone should watch out for. This feature makes it easier for users to take snapshots in any situation since the shutter button just floats around the screen.

Swipe anywhere to bring up app drawer

Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus run on Android 7.0 Nougat. With this operating system being incorporated with Samsung's native user interface, the devices get a more simplified and organized screen display.

Swipe from anywhere then the app drawer pops up, making it more convenient for users to access pretty much anything.

Use fingerprint scanner to launch notifications tab

For many, the fingerprint scanner is the hugest disappointment of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus being awkwardly placed on the back panel of the device, which primarily gives the Infinity Display entirely to itself. What many do not know yet is that the scanner actually can now launch the notifications tab.

By simply sliding a finger on the fingerprint scanner, this brings the notifications window out in the open. Make sure though to enable it through the settings menu.
