After receiving the prestigious award, in his acceptance speech, he thanked everyone who has helped him to become what he is today- one of the most recognizable celebrities in the country. He also thanked his fans for love and support. "I traveled around the globe so many times over the past few years...I was so touched to see people (overseas) trying to write or speak Korean to me. I will further try to contribute to Korea's brand image," said Lee as reported.

The annual ceremony was hosted by Institute of Nation Brand Promotion to acknowledge all individuals and businesses, which helped in enhancing the image of the country.
