Model Gigi Hadid in a recent interview revealed how her mother has inspired her to work and helped her to achieve success in modelling industry. She revealed that her mother had taught her that she need to put in hard work to beat the increasing competition.

During an interview with Italian newspaper media Corriere della Sera, the 21-year-old model said that her mother, Yolanda Hadid, told her that if she won't put in enough hard work then there will be another hard working woman who will be always ready to take the job and position. ''If you are not the girl who is working harder than the other girls there will be one more beautiful than you, one who is going to work harder than you," said The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star to her daughter.

''One of the reasons why I have to thank her is that I've come to the fashion industry world without illusions: she told me everything to prepare me. She told me about casting in terrible and humid basements in London. She told me about other models who cut your tail during the night before the show. When the supermodels of the 90s say that we are not like them they say something true. We were born in different times but we work hard too. In different ways. I was one of the first ones who started this thing, who started to communicate through social media, but I made it with my mentality, or actually the mentality my mom gave me." said Gigi as reported by MSN.

The model who is currently dating singer Zayn also talked about the importance of being a 'pleasant' persona previously and how it is important to have that attitude in modelling industry. Gigi said, "Being a pleasant person in general, then more opportunities come to you. Half the stuff I've done in the last few years I never would've dreamed of.''
