Fragrance Group buys iconic 300-year old Crown Hotel in Britain

Property developer Fragrance Group said it has acquired the 300-year hold Crown Hotel in United Kingdom for 7.2 million sterling.

Property developer Fragrance Group said it has acquired the 300-year hold Crown Hotel in United Kingdom for 7.2 million sterling.

The Crown Hotel, located at Harrogate in North Yorkshire, boasts 115 bedrooms alongside extensive conference facilities catering for conferences, weddings and local events.

Centrally located, Crown Hotel is close to some of Harrogate's most popular attractions including the Turkish Baths, Betty's Tea Rooms, Valley Gardens and the Victorian shopping arcade, it said in a statement on Monday.

Separately, Fragrance Group also announced the acquisition of Britain's Lyndene Hotel for 5.25 million sterling.

Lyndene Hotel is located in Lancashire and has over 141 fully equipped and decorated bedrooms.

On-site facilities at the Lyndene Hotel include a snack bar and a games room, as well as evening entertainment and live music, it said in a statement.

Both the hotels are expected contribute positively to the results of the Group for the current financial year ending December 31, it said.

Shares in Fragrance Group were unchanged at S$0.16 on the Singapore Exchange. The stock has risen 1 percent so far this year.
