New video released by Londons Metropolitan police on Sunday (June 18) shows the devastation inside the Grenfell Tower block that was engulfed in flames, killing at least 58 people.The British government said it would act on recommendations from a probe into the fire, responding to a disaster critics said showed something had gone badly wrong in the country.Police said on Sunday the number of people feared to have died in the blaze would rise from the current total of 58.Prime Minister Theresa May, criticised for keeping her distance from angry residents during her visit to the smouldering ruin of the 24-storey Grenfell Tower, said on Saturday the response to the disaster had been not good enough.

The attack comes during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, when people attend prayers during the night. This aerial footage shows the van that ploughed into the crowd. The suspected attacker, a 48-year-old man, was detained by members of the public at the North London attack site.
An explosion in a Bogota shopping centre has killed three women and wounded nine others. A device detonated in a toilet bowl in a restroom in the upscale Andino shopping area. One of the victims was a 23-year-old French woman who volunteered in a poor area of Bogota. The shopping centre was busy with people shopping for Fathers Day gifts. It is yet unknown who is responsible for the attack.
Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 91st birthday on Saturday but Prince George was less than impressed to be up on the balcony of Buckingham Palace again. The three-year-old seemed bored at the beginning of the Royal Air Force display but he cheered up on the first sight of the fly-past. Maybe the young prince was struggling in the heat. Princess Charlotte on the other hand seemed to have great fun at her second fly-past.
An Israel border policewoman has been killed in a shooting and stabbing attack. Three Palestinians attacked police officers at two different scenes in Jerusalem. All three were killed by Israeli security forces. Both Hamas and Isis claimed responsibility for the attacks. It is the first time Isis has claimed an attack in Israel but authorities found not connection of the attackers to the group.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola attended a pro-independence rally in Barcelona on Sunday (June 11) and defended Catalonias right to vote, after the head of the region Carles Puigdemont announced on Friday that they would hold a referendum on splitting from Spain on 1 October. Speaking to a large crowd gathered at the Montjuic fountains, the former Barcelona player said the Catalans would decide their future by voting despite the Spanish governments constant refusal, and called for the international community to support Catalonia against an authoritarian state. Puigdemonts announcement has exacerbated the confrontation with the central government in Madrid which says such a vote is illegal and must not take place. The Spanish government said that it would block any attempt to hold a vote as soon as the referendum announcement was formally rubber-stamped by Catalan authorities.
Police have issued CCTV after a man was left with serious injuries following an assault in central London.Officers were called at around 00:40 on Saturday, June 3, to reports that a man had collapsed after being assaulted in Trafalgar Square. The 50-year-old is in hospital in a critical but stable condition. The victim was assaulted in the area outside the National Gallery - no weapons were involved.Two male suspects are believed to be involved and the Metropolitan Police are appealing for information.
Chilling footage shows the moment a victim is freed from a notorious serial killer in November 2016. Kala Brown was kidnapped by Todd Kohlhepp in Woodruff, South Carolina and chained up inside a shipping container for two months. He also shot and killed her partner Charlie Carver and raped Brown daily.After Kohlhepps arrest, he confessed to seven murders, including an unsolved quadruple shooting in 2003. Kohlhepp previously lured another couple to his property promising a job and killed both in 2015. He was sentenced to seven consecutive life terms plus 60 years for kidnapping and sexual assault.Because he accepted a plea deal, he cannot receive the death penalty.
Londons Metropolitan Police has released more details about the London Bridge terror attack. Police appealed to the public for information about were the knives used by the terrorists to attack pedestrians at London Bridge and Borough Market were bought. The ceramic knives used are branded Ernesto,were sold by German discounter Lidl and measure 12 inches in length. Images taken by police also shows the inside of the van used in the attack.
In July 2014, Michelle Carter, then 17, allegedly encouraged her then boyfriend, Conrad Roy, to commit suicide via chilling texts. Now 20, Carter faces up to 20 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter.
