The fans of The Big Bang Theory loved the trailer of the much awaited spin-off series. The first impression of Young Sheldon seems to be great as it released a week earlier and the preview of it has racked over 22 million views on Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook, as told by the broadcast network to Deadline.
No wonder the sit-com The Big Bang Theory's most lovable character was Sheldon. In the spin-off series, the 9-year-old genius is introduced who is living with his parents and siblings in East Texas.
Iain Armitage's impersonation of Jim Parsons' infamous character Sheldon is uncanny which makes the five-minute trailer engaging.
Cinema Blend mentioned, "Iain Armitage is delivering a Saturday Night Live-worthy of Jim Parsons' Sheldon Cooper, and it looks downright effortless. Sheldon's cadence is as methodical as the character's other mental and physical talents, and it's a pretty signature style."
The Big Little Lies made the young star popular.
In the upcoming series, Zoe Perry plays the role of Sheldon's mother and his twin sister, Missy, is played by Raegan Revordthe characters who have been introduced in The Big Bang Theory previously. The role of Sheldon's father George Cooper, Sr. is played by Lance Barber.
The way Armitage emulates Sheldons' "mannerisms and speaking cadences" is praiseworthy.
The outlet further stated that CBS promises that it "not only tested well with Big Bang fans but more interestingly also appealed to those who are not familiar" with the adult Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory.
The said series is to release soon on Mondays starting September 25 at 8:30 p.m. EST evenings and Thursdays beginning on November 2 when it finally moves to its regular timeslot after The Big Bang Theory, Cinema Blend reported.
