Game of Thrones is making news for many reasons, including its leaked pictures from season 8 to its revealed plotline of finale season. Moreover, this news will drive game of Thrones fans crazy as Twitter released the list of top 10 tweeted shows of this year, among which Game of Thrones tops the list, followed by Stranger Things,13 Reasons Why and The Voice.

The most shocking news of all was that the most talked-about show, Pretty Little Liars, landed at number 10 spot, and still after 12 seasons Supernatural is in top 12. About movies, Wonder Woman tops the list, followed by Oscar nominee La La Land while the most successful box office movie Thor: Ragnork lands in the eighth position. Game of Thrones was the most tweeted show last year too, gaining 2.4 million views between 6 pm and 2 am EDT, according to Twitter data.

Netflix sealed the spots from top 5 to top 2 because of Stranger Things Season 2 premiere. According to data provided by Twitter, the launch of season 2 had generated more than 3.7 million tweets and gained an average of 14 million viewers, while performing well on Twitter roughly after its launch.

Wonder Woman, which had raked more than $800 million at the box office, became the most tweeted movie in the U.S. Yet its leading lady Gal Gadot didn't make it to top 10 tweeted celebs this year. While South Korean boy band Beyond the Scene sealed the top spot, Justin Bieber came on the fourth spot with former One Direction member Harry Styles sealed the seventh spot.

Yet few shows like Big Brother, Riverdale and This is the US didn't make it up to the top ten shows, but there is always next year to look forward to.
