A Texas substitute teacher confessed to police officers that she sexually assaulted a 5-year-old child at the direction of her boyfriend, according to an affidavit.

The Midlothian Police Department identified Zackery Dondlinger, 37, and his girlfriend, Madison Paige Jones, 30, as suspects in the investigation.

Court documents obtained by WIS-10, show that on Dec. 17, Midlothian police went to the home of a woman who identified herself as a friend of Jones. She told officers that Jones and Dondlinger were in a relationship and that she had concerns about Dondlinger's behavior toward a 5-year-old child in Jones' home.

Officers then spoke with Jones, who confessed to sexually assaulting the 5-year-old at Dondlinger's direction, according to the affidavit. Jones added that Dondlinger was having sexual fantasies about the child.

The affidavit noted that Jones described the sexual acts in detail to officers. She also explained that she sent videos of the acts to Dondlinger via Snapchat to satisfy his sexual needs. Officers searched Jones' iPhone and found a message from Dondlinger that confirmed Jones' story about performing the sexual acts at his request.

Dondlinger is charged with sexual performance by a child, a first-degree felony. He was initially arrested Dec. 23 in Loving County on a lesser degree of the felony offense, but the charge has since been upgraded.

Jones was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child by sexual contact and possession of child pornography. Jones and Dondlinger are both in custody at the Ellis County Jail. Jones' bond is set at $90,000 while Dondlinger's bond was increased to $250,000.

Jones was a substitute teacher with the Midlothian Independent School District. Following her arrest, the district issued a statement saying Jones is no longer employed.
